  • If you or someone you care about needs access to our sober living facilities, a pre-scheduled move-in date is required. To start the process, call us at 513-542-1439 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

    If it’s an emergency, please call 911 or the Ohio CareLine at 1-800-720-9616 to connect to a specialist 24/7. (The Ohio CareLine is a toll-free emotional support call service created by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and administered in community settings. Behavioral health professionals staff the CareLine 24 hours a day, 7 days/week.)

  • No, SRN is an abstinence-based model for recovery. MAT is currently not offered except for Naltrexone medications. SRN is an abstinence-based recovery house. Naltrexone (Vivitrol or oral naltrexone pills) is permitted as long as the individual is engaged in treatment with an outside agency. If you are interested in getting off of MAT and coming into our program, please give us a call and we can provide you with referrals to detox facilities that can help.

  • No, we do offer detox. Residents in need of detox before move in are referred to local hospitals and facilities for this service.

  • Once a prospective resident has been screened and is determined to be appropriate for our program and as someone who can be successful, a date and time for move in is set. Beds are on a first come, first serve basis as they become available. move in is rather quick, providing detox has been completed.

    When residents arrive, residents who are home and the house manager will greet them. A urine specimen is taken to establish a baseline of sobriety, and they will learn about the programs policies, the initial program they will participate in called Shelter from the Storm including receiving the necessary materials, and get a tour of the home.

    Afterward, they will set up their profile in the OneStep Recovery application, we will identify any immediate or short term needs and make a 12-step meeting plan with the house manager and other residents. We will also connect them with resources and create a schedule for the week.

  • There is a move-in fee of $150, and then the cost of living is $105 per week. We are private pay and do not currently accept private insurance or Ohio Medicare/Medicaid.

  • While you are staying with us, there is a requirement that you are employed, participate in continuing education or, if you have other income, that you volunteer on a weekly basis. If you have a job currently, accommodations will be made on a case by case basis so that you can satisfy the terms of your employment. If you are looking for work, we are able to provide resources and guidance to help you accomplish your goals.

  • The average length of stay is based on your individual needs. A minimum stay of 6 months is expected, and some residents stay up to a year.

  • No, SRN does not offer counseling services. Residents will be referred to the appropriate agencies.

  • Addiction is a crippling disease, and men and women experience different issues in the recovery journey. For this reason, SRN offers separate programming for men and women. Our Family Program is for men, women and their families.

  • If the resident is unemployed, they are expected to be up, with their bed made, in time to attend the morning meditation meeting at 9 a.m. in the living area of the house. Throughout the day they will work on Shelter from the Storm assignments and on increasing their connection to a 12-step recovery network. They will work on building relationships with other residents in the house and will attend a one-on-one meeting with the house manager. They eat meals, go grocery shopping, attend any appointments they may have set up, attend a daily 12-step meeting, speak to their sponsor, write on step work and attend a nightly meditation or house meeting. Throughout the week, residents attend education sessions, individual and/or group counseling, life skills, spiritual care, recreation, 12-Steps and downtime for reflection.

  • SRN offers separate homes for men and women. Each home is a large house featuring shared bedrooms and baths, a living room, a TV room, a full kitchen and dining room. Laundry facilities are in the basement, along with additional refrigerator and freezer space. The men’s house also has a weight room in the basement.

  • All family and friends wishing to visit must be approved by the resident and staff. Family visits are limited to the public areas of the houses.

    Please note that family and friends over the age of 10 are encouraged to participate in the Family Day Program. These classes are designed to assist in the full journey of recovery and benefit all those affected by the disease.

  • Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas.

  • Yes you are, except during meditation or a house meeting.
